Discrimination is widely spread in Egypt, and mostly sugarcoated as “humour”. A topic like fatphobia is completely overlooked and normalised in our culture. Bigger people live in a constant battle of attempting to find their self-worth; it’s hard to accept themselves when people simply shove them into the “lazy and incompetent” category. This is a diary about the struggles of living as a fat person.
